How do I change my nonprofit’s name on Firstgiving?
If you work for a nonprofit and need to change your name on Firstgiving, please follow these steps:
1. Update your nonprofit report in Guidestar. Firstgiving uses Guidestar’s database to vet the nonprofits’ we work with are registered with the IRS. Guidestar’s and our data need to match to ensure the correct nonprofit receives their donations.
2. Tell us when you’ve updated your information in Guidestar and we’ll update it on our site.
