How do I change the event that my fundraising page is linked to?
Once you choose an event and create a fundraising page, for auditing purposes we can’t change the event associated with your page.
No worries, the money will be sent to your nonprofit and credited in your name – your page will just display the wrong event.
There are two things you could do:
- Cancel your old page and create a new one. Once it’s canceled (learn how), create your new page. Need help? Contact us – we’re happy to help you. If you’ve already raised money on your old page, we can’t transfer it to your new page, but rest assured, your nonprofit will still receive the money you’ve raised. If you’d like to display this money on your new page, simply add it to your offline donations total. You can also list your donors from your old page on your new page in the personal message text.
- Leave your page as it is. The money will still go to your nonprofit, even though the event name is wrong. However, we recommend adding the correct name of your event in your personal message and letting your nonprofit know that you inadvertently chose the wrong event when creating your page, so that they can easily follow your progress in their reporting area and provide tax receipts and send thank-you letters to your donors.
