How do we get older, computer phobic, folks engaged and excited? Do you have any suggestions?
We love this question. From what we’ve observed working with fundraisers of all ages and computer skill levels, the best thing to do is let folks know that online fundraising doesn’t have to replace the ‘old fashioned’ way of doing things.
Many people who consider themselves computer phobic rely on email to keep in touch with family and friends at a distance. Using Firstgiving is as easy as using email; if you have an email account, you can fundraising online. We find that framing the conversation this way helps people get over any technology fears.
