Tips for nonprofits: post fundraising updates to your blog
Does your nonprofit organization have a blog? Many of our nonprofit partners post news and updates for their communities of supporters to a blog because it’s faster and easier to update than a website.
A blog is also great place to post information about progress to your fundraising goals, whether your nonprofit is hosting a fundraising event or mobilizing a grassroots fundraising campaign. Here’s an example from our friends at Humane Ohio:
Use your blog to post periodic fundraising updates, recognize top fundraisers, and highlight your fundraising success stories. Be sure to link back to your FirstGiving nonprofit page to make it easier for supporters to join the campaign by donating or fundraising.
